Progresso began life in the late 1800s in the little village of Salemi, Sicily. Aged just 9, Giuseppe Uddo began selling olives and cheese from a horse-drawn cart to nearby villages.
In 1907, Guiseppe and his wife emigrated to America and began building their business. After World War I, Giuseppe partnered with his wife's cousins and expanded. It was then that the Progresso name was born.
The Progresso range of foods now includes, soups, sauces, ingredients such as olive oil, peppers and more.
